The East Coast surf scene ignites whenever the word cyclone is mentioned. Ex Tropical Cyclone Seth brought with it large swells, torrential rain and king tides… not the ideal beach filming conditions.
The lagoon at Rainbow Beach has a right-hander that only breaks in a swell like this and if you were in the right place at the right time, there was 1 day of perfect weather and offshore winds that produced some of the longest barrels the Sunshine Coast had seen in many months.
Local Sunshine Coast photographer Josh Whiting made the most of the picturesque day shooting with his drone and in the water between surfs. Pepper partnered with Josh to help stitch together a highlight clip from his footage.
Always great to partner with other Sunny Coast locals!
